Day 6 After our posh breakfast at a posh hotel we set off to Venice. We got the train from Venice Mestre which took ten minutes and we were in Venice, it was extremely hot. We soaked in the views and walked to the Rialto passing a rather cheap Italian restaurant and supermarket where a 1.5 litre bottle of water was 24 cents!!! Day 5 I knew today was going to be boring. But I was wrong. Although it was slow, the views were phenomenal. Postcard pictures. We went through a 3114m long tunnel. We managed to watch the second half of the Liverpool game. We then went with the Italian cuisine, pizza and risotto. But I had a gelato but we didn't understand a word the woman said. Day 4 After our continental breakfast and some smuggling of pain o chocolates we hit the road for dachau concentration camp. I didn't really like it but it was better than Belsen. It had some buildings which were reconstructed after its liberation. This included barracks which held more than 250 prisoners each and there were 30 of them. Day 3 We headed off towards Belsen. After a stop and a Burger King for breakfast we went into Belsen Bergen. It went cold. I did not like it. It was eye opening and gruesome. I was relieved to get out. I slept in the car and we then arrived, we went out for dinner and I had wursts (German sausages). Then a walk and bed.
