After a rough night at sea, we landed in curaçao at two pm our time 7pm English time. Right now we are sat in a Dutch style bar about to eat! I am taking full advantage of the free wifi lol. It has rained at this stop today but it is still lovely and hot and the rain almost a relief. This place is truly gorgeous, the buildings are all colonial style, brightly coloured and interesting. The people are multilingual, speaking a mix of Dutch, English, Spanish and something beginning with p that I can't spell. 

The weather should be slightly calmer for our journey to the next stop of Aruba. When I say it was rough.....it wasn't bad at all, just rough by Caribbean standards! 
I will add some pictures of curaçao later. Even though it is cloudy, you will see how lovely it still looks. The place is very big, cosmopolitan with lots of safe places to walk. The town has many of the stores you would expect in any big town. 
I managed to buy mums Xmas present here and am very pleased with it. Today, it was my turn to have a calamity. I twisted my knee as we left the ship and it hurt a LOT. Still hurting now.... The picture is a view from the bar we are currently sitting in. Christmas trees and palm trees lol.  
Last night was the first formal night and, true to form, I wore my trainers under my ball gown....only a few people noticed. There were, yet again, a few people who didn't bother to dress up. I don't mind smart casual even.... But surf shorts and cut off shirts is just a lame effort, they were suitably glared at.  
The ship sets sail again for Aruba at about 21:30 our time. I am hoping for more sun tomorrow but I think Dave likes the cloud!!
