I typed for about an hour this morning describing our food tour yesterday to go with the pics I posted,only to click save and publish, and have it disappear. OMG!! So, now we are heading to Sofia by train and won't arrive until very late tonight, with no wifi. I may retype the blog for yesterday eventually, but not today. Fingers crossed for a good wifi connection in Sofia!

We had a lazy morning and then decided to visit one of the largest parks in the city. One of the main attractions is an outdoor museum that features over 200 structures that were originally used as homes, barns, etc. by peasants in Romania. Most were donated by families and brought to the museum and reconstructed. They are set amongst all the trees with walkways, it was truly something to see! We made it! I was a little nervous going through passport control, but we breezed through with no problems. Collected our suitcase and met our driver to take us to the apartment. We shared the ride with a couple of Italian gals that were coming here for the weekend. They planned to spend all day at a spa--said it was cheaper to fly, stay over and eat out than get a spa treatment in Bologna! Our hostess met us outside the apartment and showed us around.
