Our ship is really nice, although a lot smaller than the other cruise ships we've been on in the past. Passenger capacity is 190. There's not a pool or spa, no fitness facility or entertainment at night. We also won't have a washing machine, so hand washing is in our near future. They do offer laundry service on board, but it's ridiculously expensive--$2 for underwear and socks (each), $5 for shirts, etc. We have a nice balcony room and the bathroom shower is quite large. The bed is also very comfortable and the air conditioner works really well, which has been great since it's 95 today!
We met some really nice people during a wine tasting yesterday, chatted with them all afternoon. Then we sat with some other really nice people at dinner. After we ate, our ship left the dock and cruised up the Danube so we could see Budapest all lit up at night. It was beautiful! Our pictures won't do it justice, I'm sure.
We had breakfast this morning and then left to go on an included excursion. A tour bus & guide took us for a ride all around the Pest side of the city, then headed over to the Buda side. Buda is built on mountains, so it overlooks the Pest side. Really pretty buildings there and great views of the city. We got back to our ship in time for a late lunch, then just spent time relaxing. We both are concerned about everyone back home with the hurricane happening. Praying that all will be okay!
