Retired & Traveling
We set sail last night about midnight and arrived into Seattle about 7:00 a.m. It was overcast & chilly -- definitely different than when we arrived. We hit the buffet one last time and then went to our favorite hang out spot to wait for our time to disembark, which was 9:30. This went smoothly and we claimed our suitcases and were on our way.
Stew & Connie came to pick us up and took us to a fun place for brunch. We were still sort of full from breakfast so didn't eat a whole lot. It was fun telling them all about our trip & showing pictures.
They dropped us off at the airport, which was already very crowded. By the time we got to our gate with food for the plane, it was time to board. Unfortunately, we ended up sitting next to a 7 month old baby that was NOT a happy camper--he screamed for a solid hour, and quite a bit of the flight time as well (which was 4 1/2 hours). We were both exhausted by the time we got back to Houston.
It was a great trip and I'm ready to go back to escape this oppressive heat we've got going on here!
