We arrived

We were supposed to sail to a new port yesterday, but the river was so high that our next port was under water. So--they were offering a premium tour of a Creole plantation that I wanted to go to, but Kateva wanted me to go with her on the freebie at 8:30 (the tour I wanted to do left at 8:00 & lasted 4 hours). We were originally scheduled to be in port at 8:00 am, then they announced it wouldn't be until 10, then noon. Kateva had a hair appt scheduled which she'd changed at least 3 times...so she changed it yet again for 8 am. The ship was having a brunch at 10:45, so we had a small continental breakfast in our room since we were going to the brunch. I used the boat's gym again this morning hoping to burn off some of the good food and drinks I've been enjoying. After a quick shower, we were off to the dining room. They had made a mistake on our bill, so I got that corrected and we still had time to kill before our bus tour time of 9:00. Since the cold front blew through last night, the boat had switched from a/c to heat and our room was like an oven overnight! I finally got up and turned the heat down and slept better after that.
