Retired & Traveling
No luck with the treadmills today. In fact, every single machine was occupied, so we went up to Deck 7 and just walked for about 30 minutes. You can't go all the way around, the very back is blocked off. We managed to work up a sweat anyway, so that's all that matters. I wasn't feeling all that great after we'd walked--the antibiotics weren't sitting well with my stomach, so I just joined Mike and Pam for breakfast and drank iced tea instead. After breakfast, it was wash my hair day. We met back up and ran some errands--turned in an excursion ticket we didn't need any more, dropped off a raffle ticket--those types of errands. :)) Next on our agenda was a gemstone seminar by Pete--I was hoping he was going to talk about emeralds, but he spent all the time talking about diamonds. I learned a lot about the value of the stones, but not a thing about what I was really wanting to know, which was about emeralds. We had to leave early because Rich had gotten a table at the British Pub lunch--I knew this cause he'd sent me a text. Lunch was yummy, fish and chips for all four of us. After lunch, Pam and Mike attended an art auction. We are all amazed at the amount of money that is spent on board cruises for art! Rich wanted to go watch a movie in the Princess theater, so we only stayed for a few minutes of the auction. (We should've stayed and skipped the movie, as it was awful, I ended up leaving after 15 minutes and Rich bailed shortly after me). Pam told us later that night at dinner that one painting sold for $22,000!!!!!! Crazy! We skipped Bingo today and just rested in our rooms. Dinner was great as usual although the seas were really rough and Rich wasn't feeling all that well. He parted ways with us and we snuck into the theater to catch a singer, Almand Kendall--black guy that has an amazing voice. He's been in a ton of Broadway shows and I can see why, he was very entertaining. We piddled around the main area after the show and called it a day.
