Left Tex's as quickly as we could and continued east. Found a city park in Green River, Wyoming, and had breakfast. Blasted on (to put Tex's miles behind us) and made it into Nebraska. Left I80 and got onto the Lincoln Highway (old US 30). Stayed at Oliver State Recreation Area. Very rustic--no amenities, but we were right on the bank of a small lake. Took a walk along the bank; Molli loved all the new smells. Very nice and relaxing.DAILY ENTERTAINMENT.....

Park City was all ours today. Walked all over downtown. Had a BLT and cup of (watery) clam chowder for $30. yowzers. The town is really pretty. Clean and very upscale. Apparently the "sin city" of Utah, you can ski right up to the local distillery, grab a few beers or some whiskey, then get right back on the ski lift and do it again. Now that's skiing. Julie drove us all over town shopping for all the stuff we'd forgotten…like the charger for the little Canon Powershot camera. How could we forget that? It was on the RV list and everything. Ah well… Then we all went up to Solitude Ski Resort. There’s a beautiful lake there. We took a walk around the lake. The kids gathered flowers, pinecones, etc. for their books. Weather was beautiful. Stopped at Bonneville speedway. It was first used in 1912. Fastest speed record is 350 mph. zoom, zoom. Stuck my toes in the Great Salt Lake at Saltaire Marina today. There were black flies and froth on the lake and only a couple of folks in the water. Began wondering if I missed the sign that said "Warning, these waters are contaminated and are not suitable for swimming." (Where's Scott when you need him?) Bill was smart, he just stayed a safe distance away...

Palo Alto, CA: Up at 5 am. After several false starts, we were off by 7 am. 426 miles later we arrived at beautiful (eh hem) (outside of) downtown Winnemucca.Found a really nice park in Sparks NV to have a picnic.
