We left Letchworth and headed toward Canandaigua, further upstate. Again, we were on back-roads, and I was fully expecting to find myself in Atlanta, or some such place. But the Garman-Gods were with us this time, and we made it in one piece to the right place.
We spent the afternoon with my Aunt Janet and my cousin Doug (her son) in her apartment. She lives in a beautiful retirement community in the town of Canandaigua, just at the north end of Canandaigua Lake, one of the Finger Lakes. I’m jealous.
We had an excellent dinner in the “dining room”, the name of which doesn’t do it justice. The place is a gourmet restaurant. I’m even more jealous.
We finally had to say goodbye, which was hard, and we were off on the next leg of the trip. Because it was getting dark, we stayed in a KOA in Canandaigua, deciding to burn some extra miles tomorrow.

wjmccain In every town there's a small cemetery right off the road.
Shannon Do you remember back when i was in jr high or high school... something about a dog drawing and Janet sent me a drawing or something? Wasn't it Janet? I don't remember... I should have had you ask her. Do you remember?

wjmccain Yes, it was Aunt Janet. She got her art degree from Cooper Union which is a prominent art school in the east coast.
