G'day,
Arrived in Sydney early Monday 6th to grey drizzle, but quickly cleared while we explored Darling Harbour where we're staying at the Medina Grand Harbourside. The harbour is end to end bars and restaurants, which suits us just fine. Took the ferry round to the bridge and opera house in the afternoon, which were impressive.
Clear skies from the off on Tuesday so great ferry trip to Manly to join all the young things on the beach, well we went for a stroll and walked round Cabbage Tree Bay and Blue Fish Point. Sampled some of the local beers from Bavaria and another memorable meal, back at the Blackbird in Darling.
Early start today with ToursRUs minibus picking us up for a trip to the Blue Mountains. Left Sydney via the Olympic park site of the 2000 olympics. Fantastic stadium, all solar`powered, recycled water and built on an industrial and garbage site. Stopped at the town ofLeura on route, full of spring blossom. Fisrts views of the Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters was from the Scenic World Complex, touristy but good cable car rides and rainforest walkway. Good views also from Cahills Point and Echo Point. Returned to Sydney via the Fetherdale Wildlife Park, full of Aussie critturs, and a ferry trip from the Olympic Wharf to Circular Quay.
