Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island and up to the Peak, the highest point on the island and an exlusive area with lovely walks and views. Saw black kites, singing thrush and several colourful butterflies and dragonflies. After returning to Kowloon we did the other`must-do tourist activity and had afternoon tea at the Peninsula hotel. Beautifully ornate surroundings, string quartet and great tea and cakes.

A fascinating day was rounded off by a visit to the Temple Street night market and an Italian meal at Il Meglio.
