Our real day in Switzerland!
Wow
after waking up to the sounds of a running waterfall and a rushed breakfast, franno, Jonno and myself walked into the tiny little village we were staying in to get some tickets to the cable car!
THis place is amazing BTW - I cannot even explain in words how picture perfect the Swiss Alps are.
Thing and postcard and then make it into real life. The grass is super green, the cows do have bells on, there was a huge waterfall rolling down a super steep cliff right next to our camp site, in the distance you can see snow capped mountains even in summer. It is really one of those places you have to go to, to belilve
Anyway, after buying our tickets, prepared as ever ( that is forgetting waterbottles and everything) we headed to the cable car and up the mountain cliff for a hike!
It was super beautiful walking through the huge pine trees and watching the valleys below go by. We even got to see the "North Face" which is a brand of winter clothes at home! We saw heaps of skydivers and base jumpers as well which was cool! We drank water straight from the streams and walked for about 5 hours all up! It was tiring but we felt so good after!
Franno and I then decided we deserved a treat and went to try fondue, we met people from the trip there and we got cheese AND chocolate fondue, chocolate ruled as usual!
After a yummy dinner back at camp and quite a few drinks, a few of the younger ones in the tour headed up to the only open pub in the town.
It was one of the best nights ever! We met a whole lot of base jumper guys who were crazy and from everywhere around the world! We hung out in the pub and danced and stuff until about 3 am!
Back to the tent SUPER tired but very happy!
