So on the spur of the moment, my friend Amanda and I decided it was time for some tanning. So we left camp early headed to my now favourite place in america, Atlantic City.

The choice to stay at camp with all the others or go to the beach was a hard one, but we were both going stir crazy and so hopped on the train straight through phili - with our bags which was a huge accomplishment, and finally got to sunny Atlantic city!

Our first stop was the hotel which although was possibly the seediest hotel on the strip ( hey we are poor backpackers!) felt like absolute luxury to us. It was a actual queensize bed each, and air con! Then it was some serious shopping/ touring time where
I took Amanda through the casinos, the huge shopping centers and along the board walk. Again it's so hard to explain what this place is like because I have never been to a place like this. Like a beach and a super busy city all in one! After a long wander around ( which i have decided is my fave way to experience a place just wondering around) we dropped off out new spendings ( the first of many) and decided to go to dinner at ruby Tuesday's which was delicious, first real meal for ages compared to food at camp!

Then we ran as fast as we could to the IMAX in the tropicana and watched Harry potter - Amanda was a virgin to the series so it was very exciting to show her!

We crashed early ( which wasn't actually that early 1am) and I slept like a baby!

Such a great day!
