SO after an early morning ( think 630!) we piled onto the bus after a very illegal park in the middle of a highway in the city we were on our way to the French Riviera!

I didn't really expect much from this part of the trp because I hadn't heard much about it, but boy was I wrong. It is infact, the best part of the trip so far.

The french Riviera is a huge strech of beautiful blue sea for about 150 kms and is home to some of the most glitzy and glamourous houses, hotels and casinos.

The beaches were not sandy but full of pebbles and brown skinned europeans. The water is warm and flat, and filled with people from yachts and jet skis. It was amazing, exactly my type of lifestyle ( plus it was nice and warm!)

We arrived and did our usual tent set up, and after that we decided to go down and check out the beach! It was very pretty but super hard to walk on because of all the pebbles! we took some happy snaps and then I persuaded some of the girls to come for a walk to the end of the beach we was erally interesting because there were lots of cafes and nightclubs actually on the beach! we saw banana boats and jet skis for hire and a whole lot of people ( mostly naked!) on the beach tanning. Its the European way supposedly!

Anyway after getting to the end, after a very long time we turned around to head back. But we wasn't fast enough. A huge downpour occured. we were soaked running down the highway being splashed by cars and soaked by the rain! It was really warm though so our only worry was I HAD TAKEN MY 3000 DOLLAR SLR OUT!!! plus everyone else had their phones and cameras. after running for about two kms, we finally got back to the campsite. We dried out and yes the camera was fine! after a very long drip dry session and sweeping out our tent - yes it was leaking - we had dinner which was the most amazing meal I have ever had. Not sure if it was because I was so cold and hungry, or just was simply amazing but we had a curry with coconut and rice and a chocolate flan. YUMMO!

we just hung around and chatted that night - but we were tired so it was defs time for bed!
