Ciao Milan! Ciao gelato! Ciao pizza and pasta and wine and putting on a good 20kgs!
Well this place is for the high rollers, and I did kind of know that seeing as it's the fashion capital. The main city area which surrounds Duomo (the rather large gothic like cathedral) is very pretty and quite clean, and surrounded by high-end fashion boutiques. This is right where we are staying. I was happy in my element, looking at the designer bags, shoes and everything else, window-shopping of course, while Tom watched me in amazement wondering what's so special about Prada or Jimmy Choo. It was simply amazing to see people walking past you holding 10 or so shopping bags of designer gear knowing it's easily worth $10,000, and a guessing game of "what do they do for a living." For the females here, well they look like mail order brides, with their 80 year old husbands. Good for them ha ha.
Second to shopping, comes the food, and yes it's your typical Italian food, and to be honest, some of the Italian in Australia was far better…. But there is this one world famous little place called Luini's. This place has a line a block or so long on weekends, and I can see why. Luini's specialize in a little doughy, pastry called panzerotti. These are kind of like a calzone I guess and filled with many options, but we stuck to tomato and mozzarella. Not gonna lie. We went back more then once. We ate spaghetti bolognese, lasagna, pizza, and of course gelato. Pistachio being my favorite, and typical Tom always goes for the chocolate.
So like I said, other than shopping, eating, and drinking, Milan has nothing else to offer, so my story ends here.
More excited then ever right now, as we are sitting in Zurich, Switzerland, waiting for our connecting train to St Anton in Austria. We are finally heading to the snow for 5 days!
Until next time,
Ciao.

PS, when you can would you be able to put the main photo above ^, the right way, so I don't have to stand on my head to look at it. Thanks OXOX
