A fella's got to treat himself every now and again.....so off we all go on an early ferry - Sharan, me, Anisha, Lisa and Al....off to Krabi and catch a flight to Samui to stay in a private villa - oh yes. Little private pool with in built jacuzzi, right on the beach....satellite tv, dvd, hi-fi - sweeeeeet! Made a change from all those weeks before!

So what did we get up to? Had a week to live it up here - weather was a mixed bag but generally relaxed, explored the island in a rented car, watched many (knock off) dvd's including Role Models, Superbad, Mama Mia (Waterloo!), Freedom Writers, Max Payne, pneapple Express, PS I Love You, SWAT...

So highlights of another week in paradise....visited a couple of bars, got in a few takeouts, celebrated 2 birthdays (anisha and Lisa), visit some waterfalls, Sharan and i rode an elephant - Woo! - ate on the beach, released a fire lantern in to the skies, relaxed in the pool with some beers, watched some of Hero's on the iPod,

Drama - our Thai visa's needed extending - that was a day out....relatively easy to do but a hassle at the same time as we could only get an extra 7 days without leaving Thailand....plus it cost money - boo! And we so lurrved Thailand, wanted to stay longer! Sharan drove to the VISA office in the hired flatbed truck, island fairly small - could drive it in a day. Still, all sorted on the 30th - lucky, cos the office was gonna be shut over New Year's.

NEW YEAR'S!!!! Caught a taxi in to town - Chaweng Beach - about 1030 and then it was a blur of bucket cocktails on the beach, fireworks - nearly got blown up at one point - and dancing down Green mango avoiding the ladyboys and friendly 'masseuses' ;OP Much dancing at the Green Mango club (Sharan tried a bit of an ad hoc DJ job - before being told to hop it!) and the best New Year's to date!

Said goodbye to Anisha who caught a flight out, then hung out before saying farewell to Lisa and Al as the adventure was to continue for Sharan and i as we caught the ferry to Ko Phangan...
