Woodbury common - an hour out of the city on the bus, an industrial estate-sized designer retail shopping experience with names including Gucci, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. What did I buy? Started the day with a light breakfast, for a change, then hit Macy's for a couple of hours...watching people shop. Not as busy as Xmas eve but still pretty busy. After a couple more shops, grabbed a 'hero' for lunch (massive sandwich) then went on to Best Buy to search fob an elusive bluray collection - my kind of shopping. Boxing Day in NY City :) breakfast at the Waldorf Astoria, fantastic omelettes!  After breakfast: The shopping, by my female travel companions, began as we enter the fray of the post Christmas sales. Hectic. 5th Avenue again...same same, but different. Wetter than yesterday. Had a dog with everything on the streets - awesome. Christmas Day in New York - people everywhere, it is crazy. Welcome my girlfriend to the city, yay! Swap presents and cards - got a hat, some sweeties and some money to spend - yes! Visit the Rockefeller centre, with 1000 other tourists, strolled up and down 5th Avenue, had a 5 course Italian meal then caught a cab back to the hotel to sleep - caught some of 'The Dark Knight' whilst falling asleep.  Merry Christmas everyone ;)

What did you do this Christmas Eve? This year, I have mostly been strolling up and down the busy streets of Manhattan in New York City - checked out Macy's, scoped the Empire State building, had a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon, went to Bryant Park, the New York Public library, Geeked out at Midtown Comics store, ate a fat burger, mixed with the other tourists under the glittering ads in Times Square - quite a day.
