Ah, this is what it´s all about. Free transfer in the morning to our boat - a big seacat ferry. Four hours on the boat and time enough to arrange all accomodation on board. All meals included at the resorts, no cashpoints out here so all prepaid - left the big bags at the hotel and travelled light. Easy. Head out to Nacula, and taxi boat across from the ferry to the island and we are in paradise. There are only 4 other people staying here, all Brits so get chatting easily - nice folks. Nicer still are the people looking after us who make us very welcome.
We booked a dorm but are automatically upgraded to a hut right on the beach. Spend half a day sleeping in a hammock underneath a coconut tree. Meals are plentiful and so delicious - we get a feast the first night there, all cooked in a pit underground. Spend the night chatting, drinking with the locals - cava! from coconut - and listening to them play guitars and sing. Sweet.
Downside.....lots of Mosquito bites....boo! But they weren´t too itchy, so ok then.
The next day go for a visit where they filmed some og the Blue Lagoon....didn´t see Brooke Shields. Great snorkelling, but no Barrier Reef. Lots of fishies and coral.
Back for lunch then pick up to the next island. Thank you, Nabula Lodge.
