We arrive in the country's capital late and tired.
In Wellington we went on the 'famous' tram cars to the top of the hill to see all of Wellington and the harbour. From the top of the hill we saw all of Wellington and the harbour. From there we went on a walk down back to the city, which a large part of this happy walk was through a cemetry. Just lovely. At the end of the walk we came by the Parliament buildings, this was supposed to be a highlight of the trip as the newest building was supposed to look like a beehive! It didn't, I was shocked!
Also while we were in Wellington it was ANZAC day, (NZ equivalent of Remeberance day) This started at dawn and lasted until midday. After we walked about in the quiet (all of Wellington was closed until noon). We went to a National Museum and learnt about Maori culture but we got distracted by the idea of a soft serve cone from Mc D's.
Wellington was the point of departure for us from the North Island to the South Island. Thats why I may like Wellington.
