new zealand . . . .
we arived to new zealand an picked up are campervan. when we got it we was shocked to find that all there was in it was a matress and two pillows. i asked the guy were is all the camp equipment for him to say to us o you wanted the super sleeper this is just the sleeper. so can we upgrade. no were fully booked. great so we headed to a shop called warehouse which is a massive shop with everything init. we got are camp equipment stove plates and so on finally we was on are way.
we decided to not go to aucklandand to just get out to the country. the first place we went to was called whitianga the road went around the coastline and the veiws were out of this world. we stayed at a campsite in whagamata which was really nice we had a pitch right on the beach front. by the time we had stopped driving it was about 7pm and we were so tired. this was due to us having a 12 hour night flight with no sleep. so we cooked a BBQ on are super new grill and have a early night. the next day we decided to go to whakatane and get there for lunch on the way we relised we didnt have a adabter for are p.c so had to try and find one this was a lot easier said than done. the next stop was lake rotorua , on the way we picked up a hitch hiker couple holding a sign for rotoura. finally were reached lake rotorua here we decided to pitch up camp we found a bit of land next to the river with just us on it it was so peacefull. we cooked dinner had a few to drink and of to bed we went the next morning we woke up and at thais point we understood why it was so peacefull we was parked nexted to a cemerty.......
after apoligising to the dead we hit the road we had coco puffs in the supermarket car park at.we when drove to Lake Talpo but before we got there i saw a sign BUNGGY so headed straight into the car park. it was proberly the most scarryest thing iv done in my life. commiting suicude and bailing out last minute but what a rush.decided that most of the time we are just in the van driving and not really seeing new zeland. so we decided to drive straight to wellington and try get the ferry over 3 days earlier this gives us more time to rexlax and enjoy new zeland.
once down at wellington after a 8 hour drive we arrived at the ferry port. we read on the net that if we change are ferry within 3 day of departure we will have to pay £180. this was not good. so after explaing we had to get the ferry due to us needing to get a flight home because we have a family cristest we got transfered for free the only problem is it got a bit out of hand not just did they put us on a ferry that left within that hour they even put us so we was first of the boat the other end and pushed us right to the front. i think they even told the ferry driver to go full speed. talk about making us fell guilty.
Off to the south we go
