Hey everyone, there is so much to say, delete now if you can't be bothered! Happy Easter first of all hope everyone got the choccy's they wanted, and a great four day holiday hopefully. I know for most of you it would have been spent in the bar, well why not! I am only jelous as we were sleeping in the car and couldn't afford a beer at the pub! Yep back to being skint, we will have to get used to it after living the life of riley with my parents in Manly, Sydney and up the coast to Port Maquarie. We were really sad to leave sunny Melbourne but went out with a bang, 'Hill top Hoods' was a great night out, thank you everyone for being so great the whole time we were there, we miss you guys! You know we will back whether you like it or not! We bought a car, very last minute, it was ready the day before we left! He has been good to us though, been to the garage once already as the passenger door wouldn't open and today we have found a flat tire. It is a beautiful 20yr old Toyota Corona, hmm imagine! Good to sleep in, although could be a little more comfy! Name 'Homer'. After two days long drive through the flat bush land to Sydney we found my parents in a stunning appartment in Manly, one side overlooking the harbour and the other over the pacific. We spent a wonderful week there, watching the sun go down from the balcony, eating lovely home cooked meals and drinking far too much tasty wine! We took them to the aqauriam to see the sharks being fed! Actually a really interesting thing to do, loads of information and they fed the wrays, turtles and other fish, before the ugly nurse sharks. We met up with our long lost mate Kenny and had a funny night with him in Bondi Junction, catching up on Gossip before going back to his mates house which this guy completely destroyed. What a bunch of crazy's! for those of you who know Kenny he sends his love and appologises for not being in touch. We also caught up with my beautiful friend Zoe and her lovely man John. They came round for dinner where she showed us some amazing new work and we caught up with what's going on in each other's lives. Isn't it strange how it goes back to being the same and so comfortable even after not seeing someone for years. We also saw my great aunt Molly in her nursing home, it was heart breaking to see her probably for the last time, although everytime i say that she is still here fighting strong. On friday night we had an amazing night at The Opera House "darling", where we saw an amazing Ballet show, Aboriginal mixed with classical, wine in the interval overlooking the harbour bridge from inside one of the most pictured buildings ever! We went with my Dad's cousin Susan and her husband Graham and their daughter Alison, thank you for being so generous, we had a great night! The rest of the week was spent on various different beaches and catching up with my now bronzed and very healthy looking parents. We all set off on Sunday squeezed into the car, good thing we got a station wagon, up to the Hunter Valley where we spent an interesting afternoon with a pompus brit and a lovely auzi showing us round three very different vin yards. It was almost too much wine, would you believe it! From there we drove to Forster and spent a peaceful lunch over looking the river behind the town, watching fishermen and pelicans and eating a fabulous shell fish plater! The next day we bought far too many prawns and took them to the beach where there were gannets diving and sea eagles flying above us. We saw some really remote places we probably woudln't have seen if it hadn't of been for mum and dad. In Port Maquarie we went to see the other daughter of Molly in their beautiful house inland and met both their daughters, really great to meet more of the family. Our last two nights with mum and dad were spent in a really remote place called 'Crowdy Head' where we stayed in a perfect motel with great views and food, saw Dolphins and had one last day in the beach. We saw them off from Taree train station which was sad after having such a great time! Now it is just the two of us and 'Homer the car', we stayed in some Hippy commune wierd place in land just south of Coffs Harbour, not really our thing so early night then off to Lennox head where we camped in the car. Dave hired a board yesterday and had a go but the waves were pritty strong and he is looking forward to the easier one's in Byron. Early nights and a bit boring, so now we are looking forward to some fun at Byron. We arrived today and there is a mass exodus from everyone leaving the Blues and Roots festival.
