Hey up! Well we made it so the trip has started well. The flight was ok apart from sitting on a parked plane for two and a half hours in Sao Paulo! We got a taxi to the hostel, went past favelas, saw a few sites and also saw the outside of the famous Maracana Stadium! sorry for my colourful uise of language, but it's a s***hole! We got checked into the hostel had some brekkie and went for a walk to get some food and stuff. When all the boring stuff was done we went to the beach at ipanema, and man it's beautiful, as well as massive!! wasn't as packed as the picture but that made it all the better! gonna have a kip and go out for a meal later, might as well do it now while we have the cash. gonna book a favela tour, footy match and trips to sugar loaf mountain and christo de redentor (big jesus statue). Well no photos as yet but it will ghet better i promise. meanwhile imagine us living the dream!!!
