We spent the first night camping on a small site and when we got up next morning it was 0 degrees and there were patches of old snow on the ground. The campsite was at the back of a small motel with a restaurant.  Later in the trip we spoke to people who came through Burgos two weeks after us and caught caught in snow storms wich dumped about 2ft of snow and caught the Spanish out as they were not expecting it and wagons and lorries were stuck on the roads and in ditches.  We got an early start and left Burgos about 8.30 a.m.
