Friday morning Treffen mit Silke und William, first breakfast then we got the Ecovia to Quitumbe = Quito South Terminal, took 45 mins, really far out. There got bus to Baños I think it was. About 2,5 hours drive, then got off at Papallacta. 2,7 km up the hill and we were there, at the hot springs. aguas calientes..

really nice up there, different pools, all different temperatures and bang in the middle of the Andes. How cool is that, far better than the hot springs back in Austria. And cheaper as well..

On the way to Papallacta our bus was stopped by military, we all had to get off and we were all searched, quite exciting I thought. But that was the only strange thing to happen that day.

Papallacta was great, I really enjoyed it. In the evening bus back to Quito, long trip again but worth it. Few pints then, well, few buckets and then off to bed. Crashed in Alans room as we had a very early start the next day to go to Otavalo...
