Hiya Joanne and Grant!
Just had a look at your photos. I had a look a couple of weeks ago and tried to leave a comment but my PC wouldn't play the game. Hope you are both keeping well. The places you have visited so far look fantastic. We will keep watching the progress of your adventure. Jo, Gareth is cruising down the Nile at present and Gemma is getting fed up of waiting for her baby to arrive. It's due 2 days before Christmas so we will let you know when she has it.
Take care and keep enjoying your tour.

Hi Jo & Grant,
Glad to hear you're having fantastic time. Pictures look wonderful. Jonathan has put the photo of Jo and the kangaroo as the desktop on our PC!! Seeing you in sleeping bag on sandy floor in the outback doesn't quite seem like 5* luxury but sure looks exciting! Really sad to hear it's only 40 degrees over there - UK has had it's first snow of the winter today and temp is sub zero! Mum missing your washing so much she has started decorating the hall,stairs&landing.1 door down and 15 to go!! Went on booze cruise last weekend so we're stocked up for Christmas - we'll now have to work hard at trying to drink it all - new neighbours coming round next weekend with Andrew/Andrea to help! Chris & Deborah have moved into lovely 18c cottage in Quainton this week.
Jonathan seems to want to copy the 2 of you as he's going on an Ultimate survival weekend on Sat/Sun - don't even get a tent - must be mad!
Just seen the pics of Snapper Island - looks truly breathtaking - what an experience.
Take care and carry on having lots of fun - the camper van sounds a hoot!!
Hope you've got camera now so you can take even more pics for us to drool over.
Love and miss you both
Mum, Dad & Jonathan and Sally!

Following your tour with interest. Particularly liked the alcoholic roos and the shots down into the gusset of the world. Australia seems dark, miserable and cold, sorry the weather couldn't be better. Bet you wish you were back here enjoying some of our wonderful winter......the trees look fabulous this time of year....all bare and knarled. Of course we all miss you both. Mum has made the Christmas pickle...Horah!! We will save you some.
Some other news:
My brother has become a TV star in your absence. He is now famous and is beating girls off with a s***ty stick. Mums car has blown up...the valves had a heated debate with the pistons and then (on a separate day) it caught fire. Unfortunately, someone put the fire out so now we have to sell it. She is now super-fit and cycling everywhere. Tanya hurt her foot (she'll tell that one) and Jon got naked and locked himself out of their hotel room (she'll tell that one too).
....and finally....
Have a great time and keep the pictures coming!!!!
Cheers....moth xxx

keep those pics coming bro!! bugs??? you've gotta try a honey ants bum!!! just bite off the big green thing (abos say it tastes like honey - what do you think?). you can also try deep fried scorpions in byron bay. there's also a big farm in nimbin which sells chocolate pudding fruit, sugar sweet lemons and other crazy stuff. just hop on jims alternative tour from byron (stay at the arts factory backpackers in byron) to nimbin. you'll love it! places to party in perth would be subiaco and northbridge. oh, and of course the cotts (cottosloe beach hotel). nick d'silva will definetly be your best party guide down there since he knows everyone. if you ever fancy a game of golf, i'm sure steve d'silva would love to take you both on one of the aprox. 1000000 courses around perth. anyway, enjoy your time in wa and if you need more contacts or advice on things to do just drop me a line. we're all going to miss you both even more at x-mas so make sure you keep those pics coming. all the best from that german dude!!

Hi Jo and Grant,
Your message board is pretty vacant still- not found an internet cafe in Aussie yet?? Or have you been eaten by the sharks??(if you get to Victoria in Sydney they do NOT have fins)!!Try Manley- much preferable to Bondi and other beaches.
I managed to break the ITT world wide expense account by taking a penhouse suite at the Regent overlooking the bay for a weekend stopover, let me know if it's still as good as before!!It was then about $1500 a night, so may not be within your buget!!
Hope you'r having lots of fun, and have you sampled the bugs yet??

Hi Joanne and Grant, pity you couldn't make it here with us in NY.You were right on with your caption of the look on your mother's face-washing bill down by a trillion!!!
I would ask you to admonish your brother with his "text" style of writing- quite inadmissible.
Ssound like you are having a wonderful time!
Read your bit about the Dodge Viper- I'm considering emulating your Grandad and getting a sports car in my dotage.A "loaded" Viper is about $75k and first choice.
Did you like your Mustang?Did you do fishermans wharf in SanFran and get" fished out"?
You are in Aussiie now( don't mention the convicts and avoid petrol drinking Abbos)- you MUST try the bugs. Not the nocturnal nasty thingies but the seafood ones- they are ovoid both in cross section and length and have all meat content.Taste is unique but if asked to describe would say a mixture of crab, lobster and scampi rolled into one-and they are in season now over there. They are named after the bay where fished i.e Botany bay bugs, Morton Bay bugs" etc. You MUST try these for me!!!!!!
Take care and keep on having fun!!-
Love

I wanna go back to Ozz sooooo badly!!!! Seems like you're having an even better time than I had down under. How? Anyway, uni has started for me and the fun & games are over. When are you going to be in Perth? I'm still trying to find my mates (Nick D'Silva) mobile nr. Been surfing yet? No, well get yaself onto a mal' and into those curls dude!!!! Can only recommend the swell at the cotts' in Perth. Fair dinkum, ya flamin drongo!!! Ah yeah, 'ave a gander at Monkey Mia on the west coast. Jo, you'll love it!!!
And remember: A sandgroper, derro, dingbat will never deny that dinky di AFL is the true blue sport for ockers!?!?!?
