Hello Joanne and Grant and a belated Happy New Year to you both!!!! We havejust been to see Nanna Harding with Leah. Nanna showed us the card you sent to her. She asks us to send you her love and to say Happy Birthday Joanne for the 14th. Happy Birthday from all of us here too. I'm sure it will be one of your best!
Baby Leah is doing fine. She is 9lb 14ozs. now and has recently started smiling at everyone. She is beautiful.(but we would say that wouldn't we as her grandparents!...but she is anyway!)
We all had a great time at Nanna's 80th birthday party. It was great to see everyone gathered together and it was a fantastic surprise for Nanna when she walked in to about 30 people including all her close friends. She thought your Mum and Dad had picked her up so we could all go out for a meal together so she had no idea whatsoever as to the surprise party.Your Mum and Dad came to see us during the afternoon before the party but when they arrived with Nanna your Mum was brilliant, saying to Denise when she let them into the hall "Which way do we turn left or right?", making out she had never been to our house before! It was a great bit of acting!. We missed you at the party and thought about you and your Nanna was over the moon with the phone call you made. Your Nanna and Grandad Acton enjoyed the party and it was nice to see them again. Gareth came home from Guernsey on the Friday night and went back on Sunday. He is forever flying (he did 88 flights last year!). Anyway I'd'' better stop writing now otherwise the rest of your holiday will be taken up reading this message! so "Bye For Now" and enjoy the next bit of your holiday.
P.S It's nice to read the other messages and I'm sure all the contributors to your message board read all of them, so here's one for your Uncle Mike....Mike, I just read about you bracing yourself for the NY blizzaed. That's a bit of a far cry from the last time I saw you in Bolton sitting outside the Market Hall at the little cafe in the summer sunshine, when my friend and I were going into Bolton Market Hall for a sandwich before going back to the Fire Station. Seems like a long time ago. Hope you are keeping well and enjoying life in the U.S.....John.
Happy Birthday Joanne.....Uncle John and Auntie Denise XX

Hi Grant and Jo
Have been bullied into writing you a message while I have my hair done! Hope you are both well and am totally jealous having looked at all the great photos. There's another world out there!!! All well this side of the water -you remember Aussie Chris? He very sadly lost his wife to cancer back in December which was such a tragedy for a young family. If you want to e-mail him it's [email protected]. I think that's right anyway. I know you guys were good muckers when you were haymaking together. Enjoy your travels and don't get eaten by dingos. Lots of love Anna Nick and the boys xx
