Last 3 days in Ha Long bay were a good laugh, helped by perfect weather and a good crowd we met there. Stayed in a £2.60 a night hostel the first day, which included free beer for 2 hours in the evening and free breakfast in the morning, can't complain! The first night we also managed to watch the Spurs game, randomly got a local restaurant to put the game on for us and ended up being a funny night. Amazing few days in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, stunning little town surrounded by impressive mountains and rivers. The town itself had only a handful of guesthouses, restaurants and bars, all shut by around 10pm with only one keeping open for a few more hours. Hoi An was a great place to stay for a few days. Definitely one of the most picturesque places we've been in Asia so far. Beautiful colonial buildings and also quaint Asian shops, bars and bridges. The town lit up at night with lanterns and street stools all over. Bars and restaurants were all really nicely done. Around town by pedal bike by day, stopping off for beers and food on route.
