Koh Rong is a tiny island off of the coast of Sihanoukville. A traditional fishing town but slowly moving into the world of backpackers searching for an island base. Our Cambodia trip began in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, not quite a bustling as Bangkok but a big and hectic city day and night. Arrived in Vang Vieng and was pleased to be greeted with our first room that had the luxury of decent wifi, a big bed and air con, result!! All the group managed to get into the same guest house as well so that set us up for a good few days. Main reason for the trip to Vang Vieng was the famous tubing! Leaving Pai was the start of a crazy few days travelling into Laos. First day was a 6 hour bus ride and a stop over in a motel more like a crumbling Victorian prison... Second and third saw a 2 day slow boat trip through Laos which ended up being the funniest few days of the trip so far! So... Final destination in Thailand being Pai! Great place and a great end to the first month in Asia.... One of the most chilled out places I've ever been to, hippies, laid back travellers and laid back locals make up the town.
