Departure from Split may have been a good thing. It was jam packed full of people. With the change over of all the cruise boats, music festival week and the start of summer holidays it was crazy us poor kiwis aren't used to these kinda crowds. We flew to Paris- Charles de Gaule airport and caught the train to La Rochelle. The trains in France were busy too with families heading off for their summer hols. 5 weeks, 5 countries and 5 different laungages im starting to get my please and thank yous mixed up!

After a long days travel we arrived at midnight and joined Brett and Leigh on the small island of Il de re on the Atlantic coast in France. This is a small fishing village with seafood in abundance and a sandy beach a good place to have a summer holiday house. Biking is the transport of choice here and tracks to get all around the island have been esrablished, so with bikes sorted were set for another fun week.
