Melbourne: Stayed in this hostel called Base in a beautiful area called St Kilda. The hostel was beautiful and fairly friendly though not as atmospheric as the american ones. Met a couple in my dorm and spent most of the first day with them which was an experience - strange, strange characters - especially Dan the Man. Went out clubbing that night which was wicked - met up with Simon (aka LA guy) - friend I had met in LA who lived in Melbourne. The club was cool - met this 80 year old guy called grandpa acid - so strange wore leather trousers and a a leather choker. MEt a cool bunch of people and went to their party in Seaford (a random town outside of melbourne - was wicked spent the weekend there - had a private beach and everything was amazing). Went sight seeing a day later and saw all of Melbourne on their free trams - the city is beautiful beaches and parks everywhere. And best chips I've had in my life - French Canadain chip (big fat chips with gravy and cheese on top....hmmmmm). Hostel had a quiz that night which I won with this group of scousers I met - and then we went to the club where Dr Carl from Neighbours plays - but we missed him. I LOVE MELBOURNE!
