LA: hate the place, but still had fun... Arrived during a black out - so couldn't do anything the first night. The hostel was Ok - I suppose - but a bit sterile and not as friendly as San Fran, atleast to start off with. But after the first night in the dark met up with several aussies (Simon, Michael, and other guy whose name I can't remember) they were very cool. Went on a tour the next day to see hollywood, Rodeo drive etc - was awful. got back to the hostel though and had a got time with the Aussies and a big party that night. Following day we all just hung out and walked around looking at shops. Though had another party - with lots of irish girls singing (badly). Final day I spent sleeping on Santa Monica beach listening to my Ipod - bliss. 15 and a hlaf hours later i was in OZ!
