First day we left our campsite early - for us - at 9am! We decided to eat breakfast in the nearby town of Hawker, which made the pack up quicker. Today we drove through the central Flinders Ranges National Park - despite the fact we have a dog and shouldn't enter. It seems to us that South Australia is quite money hungry in terms of its national parks as you have to pay to enter each one, and then if you are camping you pay an extra fee. We were the last caravan to leave the rest area - as usual! Headed into Port Augusta marveling at the impressive backdrop of the Flinders Ranges on one side and the startling blue of the Spencer Gulf on the other. Left our home (after 8 days) in Port Julia this morning. We are heading north towards Port Augusta and plan to make our way to the Ayre Peninsula. We stopped first in the nearby fishing town (aren't they all!) of Ardrossen for a toilet stop and to get something delicious from the bakery. For our last day staying on the Yorke Peninsula we decided to take it easy. Gadi made me brekky - scrambled eggs and toasted wraps - and we indulgently watched two episodes of The Bridge.
