We left the Port Hedland Sports Ground early this morning and headed to a picnic spot called Pretty Pool with a river running out to the beach, where we stopped for breakfast with a view. Next we headed to the port to watch the massive iron ore laden ships and their tugs and pilot boat head out to sea. They were quite a sight and very impressive. Today we left our remote beachside campsite at Barn Hill Station and drove south to Port Hedland.
