Classic diner interior with some 60s lighting - quite nice!

"Uh oh, I'm in trouble!" That shake is freaking delicious.

Someone likes a good burger... happily chomping away at a hipster diner (not our words, but pretty fitting!) in Silverlake, where we got a bit carried away ordering not only a burger with coleslaw and fries, but also a key lime pie and a peanut butter chocolate shake (one of each item, but as you can see the portions are humongous). I guess the milkshake would have carried sufficient calories for dinner for the both of us... (especially as we MIGHT also have ha...

... a little stop at Morten's all-time-favourite burger chain, In'n'Out Burgers, where no frozen products are used and you can order your burger or fries 'animal style' (meaning with extra melted cheese, sauce and chopped onions). A menu with shake, burger and fries gets you 2000 calories - oh my! Maybe I'll try it... once? (Who there at home is already taking bets on my weight gain after this trip? ;) You might be able to make a fortune!)

Sometimes you really get lucky on airbnb - for example when your hosts have a nack for collecting nice retro furniture and putting it up in the guestroom, together with the most comfortable bed we ever slept in. Aaaaaah!
