EXACTLY 4 MONTHS AFTER WE STARTED!
Tonight we will leave SEA and get on a plane to Sydney. Halbzeit!
It's time for a little reflection on the first half of our trip (or, as I&U might call it, a 'Bergfest-Referat'):
We laid our head in approx. 35 different villages, towns and cities in 6 different countries during the last 123 days (averaging a stay of 3,5 days per place).
Place we were most keen on leaving quickly: Cemoro Lawang.
Place we didn't want to leave: Oh so many! (Don't worry, dear friends - you'll 'get' to see the slideshow when we are back!)
During the last four months we have not spent more than 50 hours apart. And we still like each other!
Morten got a bit of a tan and lost 6 kilos.
I got very tanned and didn't really lose any weight. (Darn!)
Morten had 3 haircut- and beard trimming sessions by people with varying degrees of skill. From now on I might have to do the job - can't afford such luxury in Sydney!
We lost three pairs of sunglasses, one tote bag, one iPod touch - but nothing really important yet! (Except for our wallet, which a friendly Lao waiter returned the next morning .)
And NOTHING got stolen from us so far, except for my very old pair of flip flops (seriously? eeew.)
I fixed approximately 30 holes in our worn-out travel wardrobe, but we didn't have to toss anything except for some seriously done-for pairs of shoes.
We did 8 dives and saw tons of cool sea life, but - dammit! - still no sharks!
And we almost stayed on budget.
But again, most importantly: WE STILL LIKE EACH OTHER! (even enough to get married.)
And we really miss all of you! (but not enough to come home just yet.)
Enjoy your Sunday!

erin So glad to hear that you are having a good adventure! And, that you still like each other enough to get married, but I wouldn't have ever doubted that :-)....
