Away We Go
Another several-hour-busride takes us to Kampot, a small town known for it's pepper farms and its great riverside location.
Our lodge is very basic (bamboo huts on stilts with only a bed in them) and totally rastafari (most people preferring their morning smoke to breakfast), but we are having the most fun by jumping into the river - swimming against the stream at night, a great feeling!
After ten minutes of swimming, we arrive at a deserted plot of land with some coconut trees... finding some stones to crack the shell is easy, so we can feast on fresh coconut juice as a snack in the middle of our swim!
Later on we rent a kayak and explore the river some more. Not the mighty Mekong itself, but we are still having a grand old time!
