Another day out, yesterday we went to the Science museum which was half closed & not so great. Lucky it was free, highlight of the day was pub lunch & a few new beers to try, leffe ok but ciders seem to be more the go. Did the Tower Bridge walk through the towers & engine room, very interesting to learn all about the bridge. Monument nearly killed me, but after 311 stairs of hell I made it my b****. Swan, ducks & squirrels are everywhere here. It's really nice just to walk around the docks with all the boats and the tree lined streets slowly losing there leaves. Massive pub dinner & my first Ale - Spitfire. So cold on the way back. Balcony view of the docks is brilliant, especially on a beautiful sunny morning.

With pocket guide map in hand & the underground tube map in the other I set off for a day of sight seeing. Mums pocket guide she bight for me came in very handy. I got off a packed train at Picadilly Square and as I ascended to street level a whole new world appeared, an amazing fountain stands in the middle of these streets lined with beautiful historic buildings with cast iron features and stone carvings. Day 2.5, it was a very long flight and traveling back against the time zone helped squeeze a few more hours in the day. I left Seoul at 13:15 and arrived at Heathrow at 17:30 after 11hrs of flying. As soon as I left the Airport I bought an oyster card, my future travel lifeline for London sight seeing by train, bus or ferry.

End of day one & I made it to Seoul. Slight headache from the long flight, but with my hotel slippers & robe on, plus a full belly from dinner in the hotel has helped. Would highly recommend to anyone going to England to take the overnight stop in Seoul. Food & accommodation in a really nice hotel really breaks up the long flight. There is a beautiful garden walk in the hotel. Plus a few paths outside to scope out the area a bit too. Everything outsid...
