What a difference 3 1/2 hours on a plane makes ! We are camped on the edge of the rainforest and beside the beach The campsite facilities are amazing but our air conditioning is even better! When you open the door it is like you are being hit by a wet , sticky blanket The flora , fauna and noise is incredible
After setting up the motorhome and unpacking we all set off across to the communal kitchen / dining area which is air conditioned and very sociable There is also pool , ping pong , tv and wi fi etc and a swimming pool area which Trev and Paul enjoyed Dinner was good with a crisp white and baileys too!
We then made our way back to the van but I stayed to add the previous short blog
So on my stroll back wearing my cossie , sarong and thongs ( flip flops! )I was listening to the constant really loud buzz of the insects etc when I realised that I was walking on toads and geckos hundreds of them !!! OMG instantly I was jumping about screaming and shouting like a demented fool ! Patsy who was outside the van at the time went running in because she was worried what type of animal would make that sort of noise lol They were all looking out of the window wondering what they were going to see when I arrived in a state of absolute panic ! When Trev explained to the campsite owner he said it was just as well it wasn't one of the local monitor lizards which come sometimes as they are about 12 feet long! Moral of that is I will not be going out at night ever again I will watch from the window!
The boys will be putting some more photos on soon because the Internet is good here hopefully we will be able to include a photo of Kerry our lady in the office Here we are in the middle of all this heat and humidity and she is fully made up , hair dressed up and she wears some of the most amazing clothes I have seen! Her husband has been nicknamed ' no worries mate ' because he can not be more helpful
Poor Pat has been plagued by the mossies but she now has some ' deet ' apparently you can even go into the pig pens with that on ......not that we will be trying it lol
Well folks it's time for a walk to the beach , hopefully I am going to take a few girlie photos of the flowers etc then it is back for yet another shower and a cold beer or two xxx speak soon folks xxx
