So today we went to Charters Towers which is a town in the middle of nowhere famous for the Australian gold rush A long very straight road out and back! Having had lunch in Mission Beach it was back on the road to get to Townsville so we had a chance of visiting Charters Towers. Got to the camp site quite late and oh dear !! the internet was not much good again.. The site is in re-build but is ok and we used the camp kitchen to cook up a good meal to go with a glass of wine, baileys and ginger beer. No wi-fi so bed early to be ready for tomorrow.
