So today is our first full day in Italy. After three days in the car, today is a rest day. Although we went to bed at 10.30pm last night others in the park were up after midnight making a noise. It was quite warm overnight but not as bad as Colmar.
We got up at 6.30am and made no effort to be quiet as everyone was still asleep. Pat was up washing this morning so everything would be clean. She had already done the towels yesterday.
After breakfast we all got on our iPads and laptops to try and get as much catching up as possible as the Wi-Fi was good. Dee made a list for groceries.
Paul drove Dee, Pat and I to the shops via the scenic route. He took us to Stresa, a lakeside town. It is old and very colourful with hanging flower baskets everywhere. The buildings are I didn't take any photos as we will be coming another day with everyone to walk around the town.
The shop we went to was really big. It was like Kmart and Coles together with the same range of products including alcohol.
Meanwhile Trevor and John moved the tent as it was on a slope which made difficult to sleep. Whilst we were gone lots of campers left but a new lot had arrived.
The afternoon was spent updating the blog and uploading photos. Dee prepared dinner of cheese and chicken or pork wrapped in bacon and baked potato and zucchini. Pat finished her book 'The Broken Man', John had his afternoon nap and Trevor and Paul worked on their iPad/iPhone.
Dinner was very nice and relaxing. Thank you Dee, for a great meal. There is never any wastage.
It has started to cool off a little so I hope it will be better for sleeping.
Sleep tight xxxxx
