Today is a rest day of sorts. We stayed at the campsite and all the washing got done even the sheets and doona covers. We had them hanging around the gazebo to dry and it made great shade as it was quite warm. Every morning and evening the ducks and sparrows visit for their feed of bread and crumbs. They are getting friendlier and Paul has even trained some of the ducks to feed out of a bowl that has water and soaked bread in it. It didn't take long for them to work out where the food is.
It is amazing watching people coming and going and the things people do. The man in the site next to us has compulsive obsessive disorder. Every day he gets out a cloth and washes the campervan, wheels and awning. He spends a few hours doing it. He doesn't go anywhere except when he takes the dog for a walk to get the bread in the morning. Oh well, whatever on holidays.
There is a little boy with his family who works very hard every day. He is about 3 yrs. old and has a tricycle. He has a tray and a trolley to attach to the back of it. He goes to the shop with his dad and collects the bread, takes the recycling to the bins and even takes the sewer container to be emptied all attached to the back of his trike. In the evening he takes has wash bag and gets ready for bed and rides his trike back to the camper. He seems to enjoy going everywhere on his trike. That's holidays.
It was good to just chill for the day although Dee still cooked our dinner, spaghetti Bolognese. It is very hot in the van and she looked like she had done a marathon. There is not enough room to have more than one in the kitchen. We all enjoy the meals prepared by Dee and there is never left overs.
Tonight we had a massive thunder storm with wind, lightening and rain. The first we have had but it did cool the camper and making it easier to sleep. Other campers were frantically taking down awnings or securing them better. It lasted about two hours.
Tomorrow we are going on the 'Bucket Lift'. This will be interesting.
