The picture is of Dauphin Island, Alabama, and yes, I stayed there. The Gulf Coast is as beautiful of a coast as I have seen.
As of today though, I will be cylcing somewhere between Cleveland, TX and College Station, TX. Along the way, I will be going through Cut and Shoot, Texas. For my non Texan friends, this means that I am just …
I have been fortunate enough to travel quite a bit over the last 6-7 years, but this website is my first attempt at taking a single picture or writing a journal. I hope that you take the time to share your sometimes cruel, sarcastic remarks with me. I plan on taking a year to travel around the world. While the exact duration and locations may change, I know that I am lucky to have the opportunity to give it a go. We’ll see what happens; first stop is Beijing, China, July 9th, 2006.

Considering that I have had no job and zero responsibilities I am not expecting any "pity parties" from anyone, but the last 2-3 months have not exactly been a "barrell of laugh…

Hi Jase
Sorry to hear you haven't had a good time recently. If it makes you feel better, it was great to meet you on the camino. After your cycling adventure, if you want to visit Oman you are always welcome

I had to take a second, third, and fourth read to make sure my eyes and brain were working together. What a Christmas gift we will all get early to see Jason pediling into town!
If you take some pictures, please share, of course interested in seeing how you are traveling on that bike!
GO JASON GO!!!

Day Two is in the books. I ended up starting from Jacksonville, Florida instead of Miami. I am 140 miles into the trip with about another 1000 to go. I head toward the Gulf next. I should be in Carrabelle, FL on the 13th and in Gulfport, MS five to seven days later. My legs and butt (damn that seat hurts) will be the judge, but I hope to average about 70 miles per day. This is an easy mileage for cyclist, but hard for a fat boy like me.

Hey, Jason! Glad to hear you'll be back in the States soon. I hope you'll fill in the blanks between Scotland and Granada. Have safe travels from Miami.
Jason
