Joy - I get to use my Spanish again!! But I am devastated at how much I have forgotten in the last 40 days that I have been in Brazil - I find I am using Portuguese words where I have forgotten the Spanish equivalent - not good!

Salto is a pleasant enough town but not remarkable. We were all so looking forward to the thermal baths and massage here, but the pools were such a disappointment. I was expecting them to be natural pools, but instead the waters have been piped into tiled pools, which gave it the sanitised ambience of public pools - except with the water temperatures constantly at 35+ Celcius, they probably were not that sanitary. The massage was not really that cheap and the surroundings not that pleasant, so we gave that a miss.
