Day 101 Wednesday April 24, 2024, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Arrival: 9:00 All Aboard: 18:30 Departure: 19:00
We arrive in Port Klang, the closest port (33 KMs) from the capital of Kuala Lumpur. Port Klang is the largest and busiest port in Malaysia handling 60% of the country's container traffic.
The country of Malaysia has 878 islands ,34.6 million people inhabit these islands.
You know when you have had enough of touring either through the ship or private when your main activity in a port is going to the mall. This is way we did today.
No tours were planned for the day, so it was off the mall via the shuttle bus. I needed to find a place for a haircut and massages were also on the schedule.
I remember heavy rains the last time we were here in 2018. It was no exception today as rain fell while we got back on the shuttle bus, then stopped but the rain returned while walking back to the ship. It is a good way to wash your clothes though.
Sail away was 19:00 as we made our way to the second stop in Malaysia, Penang 175 nautical miles away.
