So we're in Malaysia! And it's raining...a lot! We haven't left the building today, luckily they provide bread and a toaster but we can't stay here forever!! Ben has been given some paid work for the Champions League magazine so he's working away, the money will help us a lot!
On Tuesday we had a nice leg massage, our best yet which was nice, drank some lovely cocktails (I can't get enough of frozen strawberry daquiri's!) and I bought a pretty dress and some new flip flops.
Yesterday was a long day travelling. We were picked up before 11am and didn't get to our hotel in Penang until about 6ish. We were bad as well. For the first time in 4 months we had fast food; Burger King. I felt very bad afterwards, even though it was my birthday! But in our defence everything was far too expensive to eat elsewhere and at least this included a drink too!
Ben bought me a lovely ring and necklace and some other little bits:)
Last night thanks to Diane and Brendan we went to a revolving restaurant. It was 16 floors above the city and took 45 minutes to do a full lap. It was really good but weird as you could see you were moving, plus the buffet was all around but that didn't move, so you kept forgetting where you were sat! I had prawn crackers with dips to start and finished with 2 lots of chocolate cake and ice cream but I'm not sure what went in between! The food here seems nice though. Tonight we want to go to Little India for curries that are served in banana leaf that you eat with your hands, I've heard they're good!
The drains in Penang are just open down by the side of the road and there seem to be a lot of big rats!!! Georgetown where we're staying seems quite quaint though. There's not lots to see here, a big hill to go up to for a view and maybe we'll visit a small fort by the sea but I can't see us staying here for long.
