The Ballard Locks provide a link for boats between Puget Sound and the Ship Canal, which connects eastward to Lake Union and Lake Washington. Using the below ground viewing windows, were able to view salmon returning to the lake through the fish ladder along the side of the canal.

Kerry Park overlooks the city. Look for the Space Needle in the skyline. Mike and Grace Bailey and Katie and Grace Guy are pictured. This was a gorgeous summer day, sunny and just warm enough. I found my first geocache in Washington state at the edge of this park.
