Woke early and went to breakfast by the pool.
Then headed out to find a new place to stay that was a little cheaper. Found one down the road and checked in. We also booked our plane tickets to Ho chi Minh city on the Internet, with Vietnam airways.
Then went shopping at the tailors, first up kimmys, such an organised and quality place so we looked at a few things on their laptops. All designer stuff and chose a few. In no time at all we had been measured up and had organised a second fitting tomorrow. Amazing that they can make this is one day, I got a grey coat with a red silk lining. Sam ordered a shirt, trousers, waistcoat and a coat, and chose all the colours and materials.
Next we found a shoe shop for Isha, she set about designing her perfect shoe to the woman. The shop owner said she had more things at the factory, and ordered one of the workers to take Isha there to see. The girl started her scooter and we wernt too keen on Isha getting on, but she did, without a helmet too. Fortunately it was only round the corner, and they did have what she needed. With a measuring and fitting for the shoes tomorrow arranged we continued.
We found a few more shops, and decided we should all get silk kimonos made too. They were all around 20 dollars so we walked around. We went to 3 le Loi which the book said was reputable, Isha managed to find the materials for her dress here, and chose to order. While waiting for her to be measured one of the shop owners got talking to me, she told me her life story, and was definitely in love with me. We even got free water bottles from her.
After sam ordered two more shirts from a place close by, we were all shopped out.
On the walk to the Japanese bridge, where we agreed to meet our friends, Isha bought some sugar cane juice from the Market, it came in plastic bag but was tasty.
We met Judi and Katy for dinner in a fairly traditional small restaurant. The food was average, and the beer cheap. We tried the hoi an speciality food
We had to leave at 9pm for the hoi an arts and cultural performance. This was a small room, with only 20 or so seats, and a range of traditional vietnamese instruments. It turned out to be well worth the 70000 dong, the traditional music was amazing, and the dance performances and singing even better.
We headed back to a bar and met the Scottish friends again for a few drinks before bed.
On the walk back we saw so many cockroaches on the street, and the hotel didn't seem too clean. So we just went to sleep quickly.
