Wow, we are off to a great start!
Our first day in Thailand was definitely an eye opener, as we saw both rich and poverty in about 10 meters of each other.
We started off the day with a beautiful buffet breakfast at the hotel and then decided we we will go for a walk and explore the markets next to our hotel.
After about an hour or two of walking around in 30 degrees we decided to call quits and go back to the hotel for a swim in one of their roof top pools!
After that we got instructions from the hotel staff to go down to the river and catch a boat into the middle of town to go to a massive shopping centre!
When we got there, a skinny wooden boat filled with heaps of people was coming towards us and when it got to the dock, we watched everyone else around us jump a metre quickly into the boat and here we were waiting for the boat to stop and tie up to the dock but apparently that is not what happens around here hahaha. This is just about was happened in order:
Sarah: "quick jump on"
Kirsten: "are you serious!?"
Kim: "woo lets go haha"
Jade: "ah I don't want to get left behind!!"
Was a very funny experience hahaha!
It cost us 8 baht each (30c) and was about a 5 minute ride into the centre of the city.
We went shopping for 2 hours and then we decided to head back as we were all so tired after only 3 hours sleep the night before.
It was 4pm here but we are still use to our time which would've been 8pm and we all agreed we would take a nap before dinner. 5 hours later... We decided we will just go back to sleep hahaha.
We all woke up around 5-6am and just had another yummy buffet breakfast.
Today we are off to dream world theme park! Should be fun :)
