Afternoon all!! So I have been in Surfers Paradise for 4 days now and I love it :D!! We were meant to leave today but have extended our stay until Sunday now :) Water park is my next trip :)
Very hot here, only had one rainy day which was when we arrvied - so what better to do than get drunk on Passion Pop (cheap sparkling wine for $6).
Very good nights out here, its bigger and better than Byron Bay - I much prefer it here - people are not weird either which is always a bonus :D! So our first night here was spent getting drunk, went to a nightclub called Billys - live band was very good, got some stupid p ictures taken as well for some website - dont worry not dodgy ones , was to promote fake tan - I have the pics will try send them home :D!
Mahogany tan coming along nicely, i do have pics to put up but ill need to wait til i get WIFI as its too expensive at our hostel.
2nd day was spent hungover on the beach and i think i was in bed by 10pm haha!! 3rd day well that was yesterday we spent it on the beach with some guy we met called Nir (you pronounce it near...as in not far he is near!)...i wasnt sure about the sea i'd never seen waves so big - they were bigger than me (i know thats now hard!) Anyways, he and jil convinced me it would be "fine!"...so off i go into the sea...its all going okay been knocked down a few times but managed to keep the head above water, then a huge wave came from BEHIND me and smashed into the one infront of me (the one infront of me was HUGE) knocked me under the water felt like a life time to get back up and when i did my bikini bottoms were down by my knees and my bikini top had came "loose" shall we say! ahhh mortified! Luckily i managed to pull the bottoms up before the wave disappeared and i praying nobody seen my top half !! hahaha. I quickly got out the water after that and did not return - i couldnt see anyway there was water coming out my nose, mouth, eyes and ears! After the beach we went and bought proper Goon - o.m.g indeedio - $10 for 4.5 litres of wine - OUCH is all i can say today, went to 2 nightclubs didnt pay to get into them which is a bonus, had a great time and we finished it off with a Hungry Jacks haha! Today im going shopping as again i am hungover and then ill go to the beach later when i don't feel like my skin is going to melt off me! Tonight we are off to play some Crazy Golf, tomo the rest of the group is coming up to Surfers so that will be another wild drunken night out for me - i thin you can guess what ill be doing the day after...it really is a hard life - partying/sunbathing/shopping...hehe :)

So i think hopefully Emma and I (not sure about the others) are off to Bundaberg - just outside of Brisbane to get some fruit picking work, found a good hostel, spoke to them and they said they'd had quite a bit of rain (there was a cyclone!) but it had dried up the past few days so i need to phone tomo and see what the situation is - if all good - i have fruit work to do for a few weeks - god knows how ill get on with it haha!!

So overall i am having sooo much fun - always something to do which is good as I have not yet been home sick - just me and Jill who hasn't yet im sure our time will come! I was worried when i'd first came out i'd made the wrong decision, but defo made the right one, right time to do this! Feeling much more settled this week and truly enjoying the backpacker lifestyle - ive been a bit flash - nandos and the other day me and maria went and had a foot long subway - we were hungover (shock i know!)...I've also developed an additcion to Homebrand Salt and Vinegar Crisps (they cost nothing really they are like smart price) and Berry Crush smoothie type juice thing from Juice Bar - honestly id get a job there if they were lookig -it would mean i could stay here in Surfers :) oh and lets not forget Passion Pop and Goon hehe!!

Still missing everyone and its good to hear from you im enjoying your emails & msgs - i feel sorry for ya's stuck in Snowy Aberdeen - i don't think it will ever go away your gunna have it til i come home hahaha!!

Oh actually the guy that stays next to us - well i was chatting away when i got home the other night and he guessed i was from SCOTLAND - first one ever woohoooo but he did say i dont sound totally scottish and that i have an american/australian twang to my accent - fantastic! Anyways...he was from Dundee hehe - small world :D!!
