It had been little over a year since we all have returned home. In that period, I have completed my second year at the uni and went to America for a month long road trip. However, more significantly for me, I completed a fundraising 10km run and joined the board of United Kingdom Deaf Student Union- a new organisation aimed at deaf students. I also become a columnist for Limping Chicken a website on deaf issues. Finally I also appeared on a documentary on BBC3.
The events that I mentioned in the previous paragraph all occurred because I acquitted a new found thirst for the life. This is because since I came back, I realised I didn't want to waste my life away doing mundane things.
Funny enough, this epiphany don't occurred immediately after I come back home. I got on with my life, initially I was disappointed to discover that I haven't really changed after my travels but luckily I turned out to be a late bloomer.
So, travelling the world was not just a one in a lifetime experience, it also changed my life for the better and I witnessed so many wonderful sights, visited world renowned landmarks and made friends with such variety of colourful characters. It also forged an unbreakable bond with my fellow travellers. For that, I have a lot to be grateful for. It has been a hell of journey writing this blog. But now it is all over, I know this book is going to be the book that defines the best time of my life. Goodbye.
